4 Ways to Cook Beef Without a Grill
February for most of us is the thick of winter. The holiday magic has wore off we`re over the cold and have our sights set on warmer spring weather to come! Although our grills have been stored away in the garage during the winter months, don't let the cold weather keep you from enjoying all things beef!
We wanted to help inspire you and share our favorite ways to cook beef without a grill or smoker! I`ve been feeling creative in the kitchen finding new ways to spice up old recipes. Some of my favorite hacks are either things that will save me time or effort; and i think all of our following tips and ticks will fall in either category!
A real swap in my opinion would be to replace the grill with a cast iron skillet! This is pretty much a fair trade. When done right almost everything you used to put on the grill, throw in the skillet instead! Cast iron skillets will last you a lifetime, they are available on Amazon for around 20 bucks! Make sure to “season” your skillet and follow the washing instructions then overtime it will start providing a grill like flavor to your dishes! Bring the flavor of Ruth Chris Steak House right in your own home with seared steaks in a garlic butter sauce. I promise you won't be disappointed!
The new kitchen gadget that has taken the world by storm is the infamous airfryer. My house has definitely fallen in love with this tool, we use it multiple times a day. I have learned there isn't an item the airfryer can`t cook. Including airfryer steaks… you heard that right! Defrost your favorite cut of steak, season generously, and cook for 3 - 5 minutes each side. Bam! A perfectly cooked steak at your fingertips in no time at all!
We would be doing you a disservice if we didn't remind you of the tried and true crockpot! Everyone has at least one hidden away in a cupboard. There`s no meal like a warm crockpot meal in the middle of winter; it just makes sense. There's tons of recipes to try all over the internet, my favorite place to find new recipe inspiration lately has been pinterest. Find a few crockpot meals that your family loves and utilize those on busy days!
Lastly our honorable mention goes to ground beef! It's so easy to keep on hand in your freezer and can complete so many different recipes year round! Some of our most rotated ground beef recipes this winter have been, muffin tin meatloaf, tacos, spaghetti, stuffed peppers, and beef enchiladas! Then as soon as the weather warms up we can all go back to our regularly scheduled programming with burgers on the grill!
