It began with a modest herd of 77 cattle. Our family and hands are working seven days a week caring for the Herd and running the farm up to our high standards. The rolling hills of Southern Iowa are not only beautiful, but the land is plentiful. We are driven to raise quality beef in the conditions they were designed to thrive in. By cutting out all the middle men, we are simplifying the supply chain to maintain the integrity and quality of our products for our customers.
Raising with Quality and Care
The Herd is raised on acres of pasture in fresh air and sunshine. They are 100% grass-fed and corn finished, meaning a whopping 80% of the cattle’s life is grass-fed and only 20% of cows' life is spent with grains in the diet. A healthy balance of grass and corn results in a profoundly better taste and even marbling in the meat.
