RIBEYES WITH RED WINE SAUCE
- 2 ribeye steaks (Shop our steaks for sale!)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup red wine (such as Cabernet Sauvignon)
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This allows the steaks to cook more evenly.
- Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt and black pepper.
- Preheat a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and heat until shimmering.
- Place the ribeye steaks in the hot skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Adjust the cooking time according to your preferred doneness. For medium, cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on each side.
